Fall Elk Field | Friday Favorite

Elk in Great Smoky Mountains NP | Alaina Ann Photography I had the pleasure of visiting with two dear friends last weekend in western North Carolina. We traveled to the Cataloochee area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park to check out an elk preserve.

At first, we thought we might not see any and were satisfied taking in the fall foliage. Soon enough, we spotted several elk while hiking and driving out of the park.

I loved this scene with the young elk walking through a field with tall grass. I found this area of the national park to be a very peaceful and beautiful place!
