White Horse

Most days when I find myself driving on Old Spanish Trail, I see this beautiful white horse in a field along the side of the road. Earlier this week, as the sun was beginning to set, I drove by this horse once again and decided I needed to stop and take a photograph. After a few u-turns, I made my way back to the fence and safely parked.

As I climbed out of the car, the horse came trotting over to the fence and began posing for me! I am quite happy I finally stopped!

  1. Hi Alaina,

I stumbled across your website here and this image caught my eye. I like the story you have behind it. I had a similar situation once where I was driving down to virginia, the sun was setting and I saw this beautiful white horse in a field. I tried to stop and turn around but by the time I did the light had changed so much in that little bit of time, the shot was lost… I’m glad you were able to get out and take that shot – sometimes it’s hard to stop our direction and turnaround to do things like this!

    Thanks for posting Alaina!

    • Joe,
Thank you for the note and sharing your experience! I too have found myself in a situation where I lost an opportunity with a shot because of quickly changing light or simply being unable to stop. I am very happy I was able to turn around and catch this beautiful horse before the light was gone!
