Happy New Year!
Over the last few weeks, I have spent some time thinking over new photography projects, visualizing where this little company of mine should go in the near and distant future, as well as perusing Google Analytics hoping to find an area to step back from on the blog.
All these big and little thoughts have provided some exciting changes for the blog in 2016.
The main emphasis areas are getting a little jostle, for a few reasons. I have a strong desire to work on new projects, one to be revealed this year while the others remain under wraps until I finalize their overall plan and purpose.
Additionally, with iPhone photographs becoming more prominent within my workflow, I decided to do away with the weekly iPhone Favorites post. These photographs will be shared on social media and in travel posts instead. And Photograph Stories will no longer occupy Wednesdays. Instead, they will pop in from time to time on the new wildcard day, when a photograph nudges me to share the full story.
The three main emphasis areas here on the blog will now be:
- Friday Favorite – my favorite photograph captured during the week.
- Projects – 2016 will share my Project 52 (sharing photographs from a different photography project each week, inspired by three books).
- Travel – photography trips, with photographs and my top five list. Occasional self portraits.
After attempting five posts each week during the second half of 2015, I am stepping back to four. Naturally, my short and sweet style of writing will continue on :)
Here’s what you may expect on the blog each week:
- Tuesday – Travel
- Wednesday – Projects
- Thursday – Travel
- Friday – Friday Favorite
Monday will become the new wildcard day for monthly wallpaper calendars, news, promotions, etc.
My motto going into 2016 is less is more, with a bit of purposeful focus tacked on.
As always, feel free to reach out or comment below with thoughts.
Thank you for stopping by!
