Standing beneath the Double Arch in Arches National Park made me feel quite small. Smaller than usual :)
The Double Arch trail was the first little hike I went on in the park. Walking toward these arches seemed surreal. Their HUGE presence and alluring glow as the sun hits them just right during the evening hours is a sight I will never forget.
I quickly learned I needed to add approach shoes to my gear arsenal. Hiking around the arches for a closer look was a bit unpredictable on my feet and my Nikon D7000 almost kissed the rocks a few times.
My favorite moment was standing beneath the two arches and looking up. Describing how large this rock formation is and how small I felt seems a bit impossible. I actually went back to the Double Arch on my last day in the park, simply to see this impressive view one last time before hitting the road.
I absolutely love feeling small in nature. I find myself looking for situations to prove just how tiny I am in the grand scheme of things. Nature always delivers on my quest!
